Each ROLCO shutter is custom made to fit almost any door, window or patio door.  ROLCO shutters are made from inter-locking insulated alulminum slats.  The slats inter-lock in such a way that they can close tightly for energy efficiency and light control, opened slightly where slot vents between the slats allow a certain amount of filtered light into the room and can also be rolled up completely or stopped at any postion in between.

Rollshutters also provide protection from would-be intruders.  They are extremely difficult to get through, and when completely closed, no one can see inside the home.

For those who work shifts, our rollshutters completely shut out the outside light - creating a "night-time" effect.  Therefore assisting in letting you rest effectively. When not required, the shutter rolls up into a header box at the top of the opening, either below the soffit area of the house, or mounted inside the soffit where it won't be seen. In new construction, it can be mounted inside the frame of the wall.

ROLCO Rollshutters are energy efficient.  The interlocking slats slide up and down in a special aluminum side guide channel that is mounted on either side of the opening. These shutters can double the efficiency of a single pane of glass and with insulated glass they can increase the efficiency up to 50 per cent or more.  To add to the efficiency of the interlocking slats, the aluminum slats have a urethane insulation sandwiched in the slat.  When the shutters are competely closed, your windows are protected from high winds, hail, heavy rain ... even hurricanes. You will find that due to escalating energy costs our rollshutters will add value to your home, as energy efficiency becomes an important factor.

When in place, ROLCO Rollshutters practically eliminate inside condensation or build-up if the relative humidity in the house is controlled properly.  The shutter is operated from the inside of the house either manually or electronically.

If you are concerned about your furniture, carpet and/or drapes fading because of the sun, a shutter on the exterior of the house will completely eliminate this problem.
